We LOVE Brazilian 960 reis (and pretty much any other overstruck coin). We especially love them with clear undertypes….and even more so when accompanied by clear dates. Finding examples within this criteria can be tough enough. The cherry on top here is the 8 reales undertype from Spain as opposed to the colonial issues from Mexico, Peru, Bolivia, Guatemala, and Chile that almost always served as 960 R planchets.
